Last August 11, 2023, the UPLB Center for Agri-Fisheries and Biosystems Mechanization (BIOMECH) visited FIT Corea Trading Phils., Inc. to conduct an interview with Mr. Philip Kim, CEO of FIT Corea and Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (KAMICO) representative.
The meeting was part of the ongoing BIOMECH project funded by the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Council for Agriculture and Fisheries (DA-PCAF) titled “Policy Study on the Implementation of Pinoy Quality Seal (or Quality Assurance System) for the Local Agri-Fisheries Machinery Sector (PQS project).” One of the objectives of the said PQS project is to analyze strategies and mechanisms of other Asian countries implementing a quality assurance system like South Korea.
During the interview, CEO Philip Kim mentioned the importance of standardization and collaboration with other countries in uplifting the agri-fishery machinery industry in the Philippines.
